The Epic Games Store has added two more free games for PC gamers to download and keep forever this week. Players can grab the following games for free from now until 11am ET on October 26th.

One of the two free games this week is the evil inside. First published in 2014, it is the first game from Japanese developer Tango Gameworks, owned by Bethesda Softworks, which in turn is now owned by Microsoft. This single-player horror-themed game is directed by Shinji Mikami, best known as a creator Resident Evil series. Here is a brief summary:

As detective Sebastian Castellanos, search for the dark truth behind a gruesome mass murder and its connection to a deranged world where monstrous creatures roam the dead. Facing unimaginable terror and fighting for survival with limited resources, Sebastian embarks on a terrifying journey to uncover who – or what – is responsible.

The tension and anxiety increase dramatically as you explore the game’s tortured world, confronting menacing horrors, avoiding brutal traps and managing crucial supplies as you struggle to survive against overwhelming odds. Corridors, walls, doors and entire buildings change in real-time, dropping players into a twisted reality where threats can appear at any time and from any direction.

Eternal threads

The other free Epic Games Store title this week is called Eternal threadsfrom developer Cosmonaut Studios and publisher Secret Mode. It’s a sci-fi single-player puzzle adventure game where you can watch and even change the timelines of six people. Here’s a quick summary:

As an operative tasked with fixing corruption in the time stream, she is sent to northern England in May 2015, where six people died in a house fire. You can’t just stop the fire, instead you have to manipulate the choices the housemates made the week before so that everyone survives the event.

From the beginning, you have full free reign to explore the timeline of the seven days before the fire. You can watch and change the significant events of the whole week as many times as you want and in any order you want. Certain decisions will only have minor effects on the timeline, moving objects around the house or revealing deeper stories and secrets. Big changes though, that rewrote the timeline by altering existing events, adding new events, and even replacing other events entirely.

Again, you have until 11 a.m. ET on October 26 to arrive the evil inside and Eternal threads for free
