Twitter has rolling out a view count for standard Tweets

Published on

The view counter of Twitter videos shows how many times a video was viewed. It is being reported that standard Tweets would display that piece of information, as well as Shared The Verge.

Some users already report seeing view counts for their own tweets, although the feature hasn’t widely rolled out yet. It is worth noting that the feature itself is not coming out of the blue. Musk already announced the feature early in December and earlier today, he officially announced it as rolling out.

Watch the TV of the show. It is normal in video, wrote Musk. Shows how much more alive Twitter is than it seems, as more than 90 per cent of Twitter users read but don’t tweet, reply or like, as these are public actions.

Twitter will start to show the view count of all tweets, as does the view count of all videos. The system is much more alive than it seemed.

Twitter’s rolled out View Count so you can see how many times a tweet has been seen! Video isn’t used to that.

Think of what Twitter is to offer. The last 100 percent of Twitter users read, but don’t tweet, respond or like, as those public actions are.

It is worth noting that users have long been able to see their Twitter images on the analytics tab, though the new feature puts the views count front and center.

It’s currently unclear if this feature is available for all users or will only be limited to Twitter Blue subscribers. The view count will likely be visible for all users considering that Musk didn’t advertise and pitch twitter users to subscribe to Twitter Blue when tweeting about the feature.

In other Twitter-related news, recent reports suggest that Musk started the hunt for a new Twitter CEO, and that he plans to step down once he finds someone stupid enough to become the new CEO. Read more about that here.

The cliff.
