The mobile game industry has been in a swarm of swindling since recently – creating a world-class olympics for the gaming industry. Two of the longest-standing mobile games, the PUBG: Mobileand Genshin Impact, have reached a stage of great success that very few mobile and non-mobile games can say they will ever reach.

According to gamesIndustry.biz, mobile has crossed the threshold of 9 billion dollars. The mobile version of the famous battle royale launched for free in March 2018, racking up 1.1 billion devices installed since its debut. Between Jan. and Sept. 2022, the game was played 104.4 million times and earned 6 billion dollars in revenues. This was down by 2021s modest earnings of 2 billion dollars.

In contrast, Genshin impact has been earning $4 billion in revenue, after doing that much faster since the game began in 2020. It shouldn’t surprise everybody following the game, as Genshin launched six months ago to reach the billion-dollar mark in February 2022 – breaking the 4 billion mark again. In the same period in between Q1 and Q3 2022, the title generated 1,4 million dollars, despite a 7 percent drop in global installs during that same period.

With the Genshin Impact and PUBG, the mobile industry has left a lot of impact, opening the door to big names looking to follow suit. Mobile gamers can expect new titles such as The Division Resurgence,Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege, and evenValorant Mobilesoon, while many more might get a slice of the market.
