Assassin’s Creed Games may be returning to their original release rate from the beginning of the series. In an interview at Ubisoft’s own blogUbisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed some of the company’s future plans for the popular action-adventure franchise with all its historical and mythological flair.

“The goal is to receive Assassin’s Creed Games are coming out more regularly, but not so that it’s the same experience every year,” Guillemot says of Ubisoft’s plans.

The company used to launch a Assassin’s Creed Entry every year. From 2009 Assassin’s Creed II until the 2015s syndicateUbisoft had a new game in the series ready every year. Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey They also landed back-to-back in 2017 and 2018, respectively, similar to last year mirage and the relatives shadows later this year.

Guillemot adds that “there will be a lot of variety of experience” for these upcoming games, with “a lot of good things to come.” This includes the next main entry that should land next Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Assassin’s Creed Name Hexe Code. “We’re going to surprise people, I think,” added Guillemot regarding this mysterious RPG entry set during the witch trials.

Guillemot also confirmed in an interview that the future of Assassin’s Creed Will include remakes of older games:

“Players can get excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve made in the past and freshen them up; there are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still very rich.”

While no specific games were named during the interview, a report from last year said that a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is currently in development at Ubisoft. Given the popularity of this entry during the golden age of piracy, this may be one of the projects the company is currently working on within its many studios.
