The Masquerade showed a new announcement trailer at PAX West. Paradox Interactive confirmed the arrival of the new development studio and the release date.

In the game community, the legends say that Vampire: The Masquerade bloodlines would be released October of this year. Paradox Interactive didn’t confirm the rumor’s accuracy.

However, it was confirmed that Hardsuit Labs wouldn’t be the primary developer for the sequel Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. The company also stated that there’ll be official news in the World of Darkness booth at the PAX West Expo.

That official news has turned out to be a new TV trailer for The Masquerade Bloodlines. That was shared on the official video, Paradox Interactive and the Vampire: The Masquerade, two social media channels.

The film Bloodlines 2 shows what are post-Alpha in-game footage. There are some first-person scenes where there are various vampiric powers (called Disciplines) being used, including which looks like Celerity (superhuman speed), Potence (super strength) and Thaumaturgy (blood magic). However, combat was only highlighted. There is no movie in the teaser trailer that traces the roleplaying elements of Bloodlines 2.

The video on this trailer, the Vampire: The Masquerade/Berblends 2 released at PAX West 2023, is entirely made up of pre-Alpha footage. Paradox Interactive shared the concept of the new studio that’ll take over from Hardsuit Labs is The Chinese Room. The BAFTA Award-winning studio has also developed games such as Dear Esther, Amnesia: a Pig Machine, Allbody’s Good to the Rapture and Little Orpheus. The Chinese Room is set to release a narrative horror game called Still Wakes the Deep, with an insider and tailbacks.

The official description of the adventure “The Masquerade”, titled as: “The Game of the World War II”, states this: “The game is set in the name of “Frame: The Masquerade”.

Blood can hold your vampiric Disciplines in mind. You will kill and feed against the city’s population by night. Try to harm civilians by supernatural powers or deliberate persuasion. Remember not to break the Masquerade! Don’t reveal what you’re doing or threaten reprisals – remember in the first place you’re not really sure what to do with this night.

Explore immersive combat with you learning a variety of play styles and approaches as per your preference for the vampire clan. Do you want supernatural fists, harangue from afar, or to rebalance your odds by thinning your herd like the apex predator? Clan choice makes for these playstyles and more.

This implies that there are many ways to approach story progress in Star Wars. In the Bloodline game that was developed by the Troika on 2004, different Vampire clans had different abilities (and in the case of Nosferatu, inhuman appearances). This allowed different ways to solve quests, from pure combat to the frightening of the NPCs, without breaking the mohammed.

The new teaser showed mostly the first-person combat, which will be in Bloodlines 2. At the beginning, many vampiric Disciplines reveal: Potence, Celerity and Thaumaturgy. As far as the PAX West trailer and confirmation of the new project studio working on Bloodlines 2, Paradox Interactive announced on the official website that a full-length video will be released on January 2024.

September four is the last day that PAX West 2023 will be held at the Seattle Convention Hall and fans can catch the Vampire: The Masquerade booth.
