Vinland Saga is a historical series which is awarded by Makoto Yukimura. In 2005, Kodansha serialized the manga in Weekly Shonen magazine, then transferred it to Monthly Afternoon. Vinland Saga sells around seven million copies from August 2022.
The first season of the anime adaptation produced by Wit Studio was premiered in July. MAPPA will handle production in the second season. Shuhei Yabuta is returning to the theaters. Takahiko Abiru also returns as the director and character designer of the animation department. Season 2 will have 24 episodes, similar to the first season.
