The new new The Walking Dead: Dead City synopsis for AMC’s forthcoming horror drama spin-off has been revealed (via FearHQ). It gives fans a more detailed view of the premise of a dangerous mission in New York for Maggie and Negans. The synopsis also confirms Dead City will be at the same time as the original series finale.

The report suggests that since we last saw Maggie and Negan, years have passed since they got together to conduct a dangerous mission. We drove Maggie and Negan to Manhattan, where we are separated from the locals since the beginning of the walker apocalypse, the newest and strange threats show. While traveling in the city, Maggie and Negan meet native New Yorkers, exploit a swamp with troubled past and find a notorious killer. As the pair go deeper into the infuriated city, it becomes apparent that their tumultuous past may be like a threat to the future.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is a sci-fi spin-off that will find the unlikely pair of Maggie and Negan shivering long ago from the East Coast of the United States a long way from the East Coast.

The series is created and produced by Josi Jorne, who is also a showrunner. These producers are Cohan, Morgan and Scott M. Gimple.

From the same name as the one-named series of Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlards, The Walking Dead was a story that started with the need for a family.
