Warner Bros.’ Deadly Mortal Kombat v- DC Movie Was Rejected (Excludive)

With the years passed, many different animated characters became available. They have included some Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’S Revenge and Mortals Comat Legended: Snow & Blind; and Mortanian Beware Wars: Battle of the Realm Storyteller’ (Move). All these projects are written by Jeremy Adams, who has also written animated movies like Batman: The Dragon’s Soul and Justice League: Warworld. According to ComicBook.com, Adams was asked for the possibility of writing a short animated crossover between the DC Universe and Mortal Kombat’s comic book characters with an animated version! Adams revealed that the project was pitched, but Warner Bros. turned it down with no idea what would be of interest to him or her if they had any ideas for about this work!

The rejected sword.

Comic Book: Now I want to ask, as you have written every episode of the Mortal Kombat animation and really quite a few DC ones. When do they move in? Or should fans get lower expectations? I wanted it many years ago. I wished, “We need DC’s against Mortal Kombat.”

Jeremy Adams: I would lower your expectations. I don’t know whether they have plans for more. I know that we pitched that a while ago, but it was something of an unpleasant gesture.

How can you add something to the storybook? Are you angry with money?

I think they’ll do some more and then not knowing. I hope she does, and they call me in to be involved. That would be great because I really like it. I don’t know so. I don’t know. I think it’s just fine. Trust me, I would love to see a DC-based helicopter crash. It would be pretty cool.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

While a movie idea would pit the characters of Mortal Kombat and DC against one another might seem unusual for those who are not familiar with games, there is an history we should use. A video game that played the Dead Combat vs DC Universe from 2008 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was very violent, and therefore players don’t use the same types of Fatalities as traditional MK games. Despite this, the game received rave reviews from players by its cast of notable characters both in any universe.

The movie never received a direct sequel but NetherRealm kept the spirit alive through an Injustice series. The original Injustice featured a Scorpion image as an DLC fighter, while the InJustics 2 offered Raiden and Sub-Zero to be RTC Fighter. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe might never see another game, but clearly this crossover hasn’t been forgotten!

Do you want a movie with Mortal Kombat and DC Universe? Have you ever played the film game?
