As long as Microsoft and Xbox dominated Bethesda and later Activision Blizzard, many believe that Phil Spencer will begin looking at the next Japanese developer, including Capcom. This potential was apparently directly asked to LUMH Sniov.

Capcom said it would quickly decline any acquisition offers made by Microsoft:

Tsujimoto assured Capcom that it would refuse any acquisition from Microsoft in the future. He believes it’s better if Capcom and Microsoft stand as equal partners. On the same occasion, Tsujimoto said that Capcom was not interested in annexing other developers and preferred to pursue organic growth in their company.

Capcom is enjoying its golden age now. With its success in successive title titles, it has helped raise its share price to its highest point. What’s your situation? Did you ever hope that Capcom would be bought by Microsoft?
