Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 11 22H2 in the Release Preview channel for members of the Windows Insider program. The new build number is 22621.2361 (KB5030310). It has a number of new features announced by the company earlier this week that will be part of the big official Windows 11 update that will launch on Tuesday, September 26.

These features include previews of Copilot on Windows and the new File Explorer, alongside what Microsoft says are “new text editing experiences for voice access and new natural voices in Narrator, and Windows Backup.”

Microsoft added that a full list of the new features of Windows 11 22H2 will be revealed on September 26.

Windows updates
Turn on the switch to get the latest updates as they become available to push new features to you.

Microsoft added:

If you have the switch to get the latest updates as they are available, turned on On Through Settings > Windows Update before Installing Build 22621.2361, you will also get Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) Installed at the same time you install Build 22621.2361 in single boot. Note that only the update for Build 22621.2361 will appear during installation on the Windows Update settings page. But after reboot, the Windows configuration update will show in your update history. This Windows configuration update is how we enable new features using Controlled Feature Launch (CFR) technology..

If you install Build 22621.2361 without enabling the switch to get the latest updates as previously available, you can simply enable it, and Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) will download to your computer, where you’ll be prompted to reboot. If you install build 22621.2361 and leave the switch off, the new features will gradually roll out to your device over time.
