King Charles, a new weekly CNN show hosted by CBS Mornings anchor Gayle King and legendary sports commentator Charles Barkley, will premiere in the fall of 2023 and feature live, hour-long discussions of cultural topics from both of their perspectives. TNT’s “NBA Tip-Off” was the venue for the announcement, and Chris Licht, CEO of CNN, confirmed the news by expressing his network’s enthusiasm for the event and the chance to host such engaging characters. King and Barkley were both excited about the new project despite their hectic schedules; in fact, Barkley said that he agreed to collaborate with King as soon as the opportunity presented itself.
