Registrations for the Hades II Tech Test are now open for the Early Access launch

Published on

Supergiant Games announced its first ever sequel project in late 2022, revealing Hades II As his next game in development. The original 2023 launch plans were pushed back because the studio wanted more content for its Early Access debut, but it said it plans a public technical review to fix key issues.

Today, Supergiant announced That Hades II A technical test has officially opened and is actively looking for players to try out the game. Interested players can Go to the game’s Steam store page and click the Request Access button. If the developer chooses them, an email from Steam will arrive with download instructions.

Keep in mind that game content will be limited here compared to what was included with the Early Access launch, and not everyone who requests access will be able to participate either.

“We manage the Hades II Technical testing before our early access launch to help us find and fix any technical issues we may have missed so far, to ensure everyone who tries Hades II Early Access can have a smooth gaming experience from the beginning,” says the studio. Built-in tools for the game will allow players to report bugs or crashes directly to the developer as well.

Below are the minimum system requirements for running the technical test:

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64 bit
  • Processor: Dual Core 2.4 Ghz
  • Memory: 4GB RAM
  • Graphics: 2GB VRAM / DirectX 12+ support

The number of players who will get access at first will be small, according to Supergiant Games. Once the game becomes stable with the initial wave of players, more and more orders will be sent out to make sure major bugs are kept to a minimum for the Early Access release. This means that an invite to a technical review may come much later down the line for players who sign up now.

The studio does not have a firm release date for Hades II Early access launch on Steam and Epic Games Store yet. He says the launch schedule could depend on how long the technical testing takes and how stable the experience is.
