Vivaldi Technologies has released a new major update for its browser. Version 6.7 is now available for download with some significant changes and new features, such as a built-in memory saver and tab hibernation, automatic update detection, and more.
Vivaldi now reduces memory usage by automatically hibernating inactive tabs, automatically detects more updates with its update reader on sites like Reddit and GitHub, lets you create workspaces from right-click tab selection, including split-window view for Mac apps . , and more.

Memory saver
Like other modern browsers, Vivaldi now has a built-in memory saver to help tab hoarders lower their memory load. The browser allows you to choose the timeout, after which inactive tabs will be put into sleep or sleep mode. Additionally, you can manually hibernate a tab, stacks of tabs, or entire workspaces. Clicking on an inactive tab will bring it back to life.
It is also worth noting that Vivaldi will not transfer sleep tabs with audio or video or partially filled forms.
Automatic feed detection
Vivaldi’s built-in feed reader now automatically detects feeds and displays an icon in the address bar. Clicking on it allows you to add Reddit profiles, GitHub repositories, YouTube videos, and other sites to your feed and receive notifications when there are updates.
