In this, the fourth film in the John Wick action series, the character is more deadly than ever. Keanu Reeves gives another stellar performance as the title character, who must battle the High Table, commanded by the enigmatic Marquis Vincent de Gramont, and their henchmen, assassins, and mobsters in order to regain his freedom. For most of the film, Wick uses his extraordinary talents to murder evil men with the support of his faithful pals, Winston and the Bowery King. The last hour will have you on the edge of your seat, agitated and short of breath. But when the credits start to roll, you might start to question whether everything has been set up. The scene during the credits is brief yet powerful. After Caine and John Wick’s duel, they will no longer owe anything to the High Table. Keep in mind that Akira also threatened Caine’s life if Wick didn’t eliminate him first. When she finally turns up to make good on her threat, the two of them are in for a nasty scrap. There has been no confirmation of a fifth John Wick film, but we do know that the franchise will branch out in two different ways: the Peacock limited series The Continental, which will explore the origins of the series’ iconic hotel for assassins; and the film Ballerina, which will star Ana de Aramas as a bitter ballerina. The latter will include returns from Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick, but it’s possible that whomever wins the battle between them may also appear in future John Wick spinoffs. As a whole, John Wick: Chapter 4 is another spectacular entry in the series, and the last sequence offers room for more action in the future.
